Away from the commercialised areas of the Mediterranean, Cotignac offers a peaceful surrounding with all the conveniences expected to enjoy your stay.There are many nearby places of interest to explore on foot. The area has a number of excellent walking trails, including the attractive waterfalls at Sillans-La-Cascade.
The "centre ville" is surrounded by quaint streets to clusters of medieval houses and framed by an attractive avenue of plane trees. This area is the heart of the village and offers a choice of excellent cafes and restaurants facing the Cours Gambetta, where lazy carefree times can be spent. Throughout the village there are more than 18 different fountains.
The village has a wonderful balance of authentic Provençal charm and is dominated by Saracine Towers on top of a massive cliff face, which is a back-drop to the village.
Tuesday is market day where an extensive range of local products and produce can be found.
